Socialization happens on all our courses
All dogs need socialising for their future happiness and safety. This is best done between the ages of 8 and 12 weeks. Unfortunately very few owners are aware of this and therefore many dogs of 6 months and over do not understand how to read the body language of other dogs, and frequently visualise them to be threatening and aggressive. However late socialisation can be effective. Dogs coming to group training sessions will automatically meet dogs of all types, personalities and ages. At the first session there can be some barking and aggressive signalling going on, but as the dogs start to learn how to focus on their owners and the work going on all round them, they become more self-confident and less worried about their surroundings. Group dog walks take place now and then, ideal for dogs who have already done some group training.
